Re: Scientific support for Andreas Moritz's Diagnosis
Ok,
so for me certain foods can set off my peeling lips and also I tend to get the peeling lips a few hours after eating. I was working on alkalizing/pH and not really concerned so much with my lips at the time of discovery. Anyway about an hour after eating a meal that showed up as acidic on pH paper (tested the urine an hour after eating and it was acidic) so I took a few tablespoons of a homemade calcium supplement (eggshell calcium-I use three large lemons and pour the juice over three large eggs, wait two days then remove the eggs and use this liquid everyday to help neutralize acids),
so about an hour after I took a few tbls of the calcium I noticed my lips stopped the peeling cycle (that I usually get after eating) and actual got soft as opposed to cracked and peeling-like they were healing really fast. This non-peeling state and softness lasted a few hours then they started peeling again, so I took some more of the eggshell calcium and it was about an hour later they stopped peeling and started to get soft again. This cycle continued and I noticed that when my urine pH is alkaline my lips are not peeling and when my urine gets acidic my lips start to get tight and then start peeling. I notice that foods high in potassium (also very alkaline) can have the same effect as the calcium on reversing the peeling cycle.
Staying alkaline is the hard part but it works. Just wish it wasnt so easy for the lips to start peeling again, like when I eat out etc. I think I need to
flush my liver and clear out parasites.
Would also like to add that too much omega 3 fatty acids cause my lips to peel too, in which case omega 6 helps greatly.
