I believe that the tests that I have done to date support Andreas Moritz 's diagnosis of this lip problem. Let me explain my case.

I have read 2 reply's he gave to people who described this condition on his 'Ask Andreas' forum on this website. He talks about the problem not really being in the skin itself but reflects an inflammatory condition in the colon, parts of the small intestines and some in the stomach. He says the problem can be caused by some drugs or overeating acid-forming foods and drinks, and also eating too much bread, fruits and sugars. The resulting acidity causes the cells on the outside lining of the intestines and lips to be shed or replaced more quickly than normal. Also, doing things like eating after dinner, and not drinking enough water will contribute to the condition.

When he says 'inflammatory condition' I believe he is talking about mild inflammation as opposed to severe as in the case of inflammatory bowel disease. When I had a camera look down in my stomach and take biopsy's, the results came back with 'Mild, chronic gastritis'. This means inflammation in the stomach, so yes I can say that my results prove that he is a least right about there being some inflammation of the stomach. As I have not had a colonscopy (camera looking at the bowel) I can not say whether I definately have inflammation of the intestines or not but I suspect I do have a degree of inflammation there as well.

He also mentions that the intestines have become acidic. My stool test results showed that at least my stool was indeed acidic with a low Ph. When I did the test, I made sure I was eating mostly alkaline foods.

He also says that because of the acidity, the cells on the outside lining of the intestines and also on the lips are shedding or being replaced too quickly.
I also recently had something called an NES scan. It is this really amazing system which basically analyses a lot of things going on in your body. It was developed by some physics graduates and is to do with bio-energetics. It is quite a complex system and I don't really understand how it works myself but you can read about it on http://www.nutrienergetics.com. Anyway the results of this scan showed that my skin was in the normal range (remember Andreas says the problem is not really in the skin) so I thought that was interesting. Some other things it picked up was that my stomach energy (thus digestive ability) was low. Also it had a category called 'cell driver' which mine also showed was low. The practicioner I saw said it was most likely to do with the high cellular turnover of the lips. Another thing it showed (which made me believe that the test was pretty acurate) was that my 'triglcerides detoxification' was low meaning trouble breaking down and detoxifying fat. As you will remember from my stool test results, it showed elevated triglcerides so is consistent with this NES scan test.
Andreas also mentions poor bile production in the liver with this condition. He says in his book that 'a little known fact about bile is that it de-acidifys the intestines'. Also, as some of you might already know, bile is also responsible for breaking down and detoxing fat.

So, there you are. 3 different tests, which to some degree I feel support Andreas Moritz 's diagnosis. If you read his book you would understand just how knowledgable he is about the digestive system.

I really wish some of you would consider doing some of the above test to compare results. I am quite happy for Andreas to be proved wrong, but so far, to me, all my tests seem to scientifically support his diagnosis. Lets face it, the medical world don't seem interested in researching this condition, so it is up to us. I still feel that liver and bowel cleansing, plus more alkaline diet and perserverance and commitment will eventually heal us all, but I still want to know definately what caused it. One person's test results are not enough to say Andreas is definately right, so is anyone else interested in doing some of the above tests? Unless you guys start looking inwardly, I believe you are never going to get better. I think you are kidding yourselves if you are waiting around for a miracle cream to be discovered.
