I don't have a lot of time, (refer to the Workplace Forum as to how I feel about that) but I loved reading ALL the responses to the great question.
I am fortunate to still have both parents, even though they are both in their mid 80's now.........and a little daffy, too. Well, not really....I think I am more daffy than them.
The one thing I would add to the posts is I learned a long time ago that when I wanted to learn something, I would simply go and hang out with a child or an elderly person. I was spending most of my time with my own age group listening to problem after problem after problem............and most of them didn't want a solution...they just wanted to talk and talk and then talk some more.
But, by looking at life through a child's eyes was like being given a second chance at life. Then, by listening to an older person talk, they have been there and done that and most of them know how to appreciate life and love life as the gift it was intended.
