Hey, NCM, you've received already very good suggestions. When you don't have time or possibility for all these, go for the simplest in the world: drink 1,5 l of water first thing in the morning, as fast as it is comfortable. Never fails!
I also gave up coffee something like 6-7 years ago, when I also quit smoking. You really won't miss it... the alkalizing drink will give you the same boost (I use the recipe of Lapis, with half doses because it's a bomb), if I'm out I have a glass of pressed orange instead. Also ginger tea is quite great, brings fire and focusness. I prepare a whole thermos and have it thorughout the day.
