Re: SBO's without SBO's (false advertising) consumer beware
I am currently using a brand called "Royal Flora". It has 10 different strains of SBO's in it, including bacillus subtilis, and bacillus licheniformis. It does not contain any lactobacilli or bifidus. I take home made yogurt in conjunction with this. Unfortunately it is fairly expensive and you can only buy it in Canada. You can buy it in bulk and get much better price. I recently ordered 1 lb. Here is a link with more information:

I chose this brand because I had a special intolerance to d-lactate producing organisms, and this was one of the few brands that didn't have any. There are several other brands of SBO's sold in the USA which are better quality than Primal Defense, in my opinion. They are: SBX, Nature's Biotics, and Floracol. Unfortunately, none of these is what I would call "cheap". They range in price between $30 to $40 for a one month supply. Some of the Candida Books I have, suggest taking 2 to 3 times the regular dose, which can get very expensive as you can see. Before investing that amount of money, I would try Efficient Microbes, and see if it works well for you. I believe that the phototrophic bacteria in EM are similar in their effects to the SBO's. Unfortunately, I cannot tolerate the d-lactate producing organisms in EM, so I cannot use it for myself.
