Like you, I thought that they just did not list them on the label. But I am now positive that the NOW brand "Probiotic Defense" does not contain soil based organisms. I called their customer service line. Their representative told me that all the organisms in this product are listed on the label. I tried to complain about false advertising to their Rep. he gave me an email address. I spent an hour writing them a letter telling them I did not think it was fair to tell their customers their product had SBO's when in fact it didn't. I sent the email, and received no reply. You can look at this product yourself at http://www.iherb.com/store/ProductDetails.aspx?c=Herbs&pid=NOW-02917
You can also look at this popular probiotic supplement (Iflora) which contains almost all the same organisms except saccharomyces Boulardi which is a yeast, yet it does not claim to contain SBO's.

I found another product called "Native Flora", that had the same problem. I do not believe these are isolated incidents within the industry.
