RYGAR! - Warrior Diet Info (Input from other CZer's too!)

Hey Rygar, (OTHER CureZoners - please add comments too!)

I think this might be the diet I am looking for but have some questions below. I am an early 40's male, 5'8", 165lbs so in physically good shape (been told I have a baseball player build). I workout 5\6 days a week for about an hour and also mix in about 30-40 minutes of cardio whether it's spinning, treadmill, or outside biking.

Several years ago (2003 to 2004) I was following a bodybuilder's diet that was loaded with protein and no fat. And here it is:

7:00am Breakfast:
coffee with sweet-n-low
10 egg whites
1/2 cup of rolled oatmeal
1 multi-man vitamin

drinking water in between

11am Lunch:
1 baked potato
1 protein shake 2 scoops to make 60 grams - (loaded with artificial junk)
added glutamine and creatine

drinking water in between

3pm Food:
6oz lean chicken breast
1/2 cup of rice
1/2 cup of green beans

drinking water or coffee with sweet-n-low

4:30pm go workout for an hour

6pm Dinner:
1 can of tuna fish in water
1 protein drink with 1 scoop
add creatine

9pm Food:
10 egg whites

NOTE: I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THE ABOVE DIET TO ANYONE! ONLY POSTING TO SHOW HOW I DID THIS IN CONJUNCTION WITH TIME OF DAY. PLEASE READ ON:

Did this diet for over a year and BARELY cheated. Got incredibly lean and built a lot of muscle(from protein\creatine) but definitely did not feel well about 4 months into it (followed the MAX-OT workout regime and will NEVER do that again! You can find it on the web). My muscles became hard as rocks! My back muscles felt like wood planks. I ended up going to a chiropractor and physical therapist to help with muscles movements because I became so tight, lost a lot of sleep as I developed numbness and tingling in my limbs, and then a year later (Aug 2005), rushed by ambulance to hospital for passing a kidney stone which I believe is from the creatine and high protein amounts I was ingesting.

Now I am completely organic, balanced diet(protein-carbs) and feel great!!... however, I would like to get more lean(abs, arms, legs without looking sickly gaunt!!). From what I've been reading on the posts, it seems that the Warrior Diet will accomplish this. I also read all of the reviews on Amazone about the book. I am contacting my area bookstores for prices.

Could you please elaborate on the following:

1)How did you feel in the beginning stages of the diet?
2)How did you break your hunger pains(pangs) during the day?
3)How did you skin react to the diet? breakouts? pale?
4)Have you done a cholesterol check recently?
5)How is your blood pressure?
6)What types of fruits\veggies do you eat during the day and how much?
7)Do you cheat? meaning do you slip in a piece of chocolate cake every so often?LOL!
8)Are you getting enough of all essential vitamins\minerals on this diet?

Again, I am looking for a diet that will get me a "leaner" look. But I want to do it healthy and not feel rundown as I need my energy during the day to teach and also for working out.

Thanks for your input Rygar and everybody else! I appreciate your help.
