Re: ** --Diabetes type 1 VS type 2--Part 5--

Yes! This is precisely why I believe it is curable. The only other reason I could figure would be if my insulin REQUIREMENTS actually changed, due to things like stress, menses, illness, what is eaten, and I know they also change in tune with my liver function. (would love your take on these other things that I have ben told my whole life impacts my insulin requirements).

When I was young, some docs actually thought I may be mis-diagnosed because I seemed to require so little insulin. I can't recall if anyone ever did a beta cell test on me, though. But yes, if some days I cannot eat enough to keep up with my insulin, yet I took the same amount of insulin that I took the day before and ate basically the same things, yet could not get my blood sugar down to save my life the day before, it seems to me the pancreas must be going in and out of some sort of functionality. My other idea is that the liver is going through stages of functionality, and that is impacting the blood sugar levels. Some theorize diabtes is actually a liver disease.

When I first began treating for candida 4 years ago, my insulin requirements nose-dived. Unfortunately, I was stupid (well, at least ignorant). The diet was working great on me without antifungals. It was a much, much healthier diet than I had eaten my whole life. Then, when I hit the die off stage, I thought it was candida symptoms returning, so I went on MASSIVE amounts of antifungals and pretty much shot my liver out of the water, and all my good blood sugar results went with it. Now, as I get a handle on the candida again (and alkalizing was the base for this), and am much wiser about how my body responds, I believe the same thing will happen. My secret theroy (ok, not so secret) is that when candida is gone, so there will go type 1 diabetes. (And all my doctors will oooh and ahhhh - that's my favorite part of the theory, lol!)
