Your story is too familiar....

I'm allergic to three classes of Antibiotics , the codeines/demerols, the salicylates (aspirin etc) and latex. I used to wear a MedicAlert bracelet. It was ignored three times.

I have used naturopathic, homeopathic and herbal medicine for sometime and have always refrained from over the counter drugs. One doctor at an urgent care center insisted I was lying when I told him I didn't take any drugs or medication. He insisted that everyone took drugs. Scary isn't it? No one in my family is allowed to go to am HMO without a patient advocate along.

I carry medical insurance to pay for trauma care incase I break a bone or tear a ligament or some other accident that may be beyond my chiropractor or ayurvedic practitioner's scope. Hopefully I'll never need to use it. Tweet
