Adverse Reactions To Pharmaceuticals
I have had so many reactions to the drugs I have been given over the years. I feel as though I have lost the core of who I am in the process. Recently when I told my Dr. ( a new one) this he sent me to a Psychiatrist. She thankfully has had to deal with chronic illness so knew exactly what I was saying.
I have nearly died after being given codeine when I told them I am allergic to it. The same with Penicillin. I do not know why some doctors think they can give a drug to you after you tell them this. The last time I nearly died was after a hand surgery and was given morphine and I told them all narcotics has a horrible adverse reaction to my body.
For instance, I was on Prednisone for 5 years due to
Rheumatoid Arthritis . I had a severe form that hit me hard and crippled my hands within seven years. The dose was a low dose yet it stole from me my ability to cope with stress after I weaned myself off 1/2 mg at a time that took 2 1/2 years to complete. I just did the same thing recently with Effixor an antidepressant.
Drugs were not meant to heal anything and they cannot correct an imbalance. In the process to getting my health back I did many things.
Effixor as I see it is a very dangerous drug. This drug that is very addictive was meant to correct
Depression and anxiety increased mine 10-fold. I became very angry and agitated in the process. When I realized it I told my doctor and he in turn sent me to see the Psychiatrist, which says I'm doing very well and she really does not see why my doctors are having such a problem with me.
All drugs can be gotten off of, I have stopped over 20 drugs over the last many years.
As Dr. Billie Jay Sahely says in her books something like this, we do not have a medication imbalance in our bodies. We do not have an Effixor shortage or imbalance, but we do concerning very important brain chemicals. She also has a book avalible how to get off of perscription drugs.
Blessings,
Deb
