For the first time in my life, I no longer sneeze every morning
Well I have to say that only recently -- like right before Thanksgiving-- I started eating a raw fruit/veggie diet, and nuts-- and i gave up meat, dairy and wheat.
For the first time in my life, I no longer sneeze every morning, or have to keep clearing up mucus in my throat. I've always been a very allergic person- and thought that was just my lot in life.
I also noticed alot more dead fluke worms in my stools. I dont think these critters could take the raw fruit enzymes -- especially pineapple and papaya. Other things in my health have really improved since my diet change. I have noticed my eyes have gotten brighter and more clearer too. I havnt gotten a cold since I started with my diet change also. My yeast infections have also stopped.
My paycheck isnt the highest. I only make close to $8.00 an hour as a data entry clerk in a eyeglass company. The area where I live is a poor former coal mining town area.
I know in the Winter months it can be more expensive getting produce than in the Summer, but if you really really cut out the other foods and ONLY get the health stuff it wont hurt the pocketbook-- and you actually find you have extra money left over to fill your gas tank! I dont drink or smoke, so I save $$ that way and put it towards the produce. I pay everything in either cash or write a check-- if i dont have the money , I put it back til the next time. I'ts not good to buy too much produce at one time anyway-- just buy as you need it.-- like once a week.
Every paycheck I go to the local Wegman's store, and treat myself to a pineapple, some kiwifruits, a Mango, Alfalfa sprouts and a Papaya. We have apples growing in our backyard. A special treat is blackberries, blue berries or raspberries -- two packs for $4.00 or an organic grown pack for $3.99 I just get one pack at a time because they spoil fast-- however, I noticed that ironically, the organic grown raspberries last a heck of a lot longer than the non-organic- and they are larger!
P.S.
That is a great idea to freeze stuff, MH. I'll have to try that.
Produce such as apples keep longer-- which is probably why they grow around the Fall season and early Winter months. Nuts in thier shells last longer in the Winter months. Do you know that an apple has a good amount of natural Vitamin C in it?-- not just oranges? I like both. I just read that raw Kiwi Fruits have the same benefits as eggs in the diet. They are packed with similar nutrients.
Just make sure to wash your produce with an organic veggie wash to get rid of pesticides or parasites.
See, Even if your one of the 'working poor' like me , you can still squeeze in raw stuff in the weekly budget during the Winter months!
