Adrenals, Estrogen Dominance, Hormone Balancing...

Hello,

I am not sure where to turn.
Here is my story.

I just started eating fish, chicken and dairy (mostly raw dairy)
again. I needed to get some sanity with my food regardless
of my take on eating animals as well as what I know about how
eating them affect the body ie. acidity. Regardless, I am trying
to do my best to heal. I don't do sugar, only stevia and only
a cup of berries in the morning. I have a cup of organic coffee
in the morning and decaf tea if I desire later in the day.

I was tested via saliva test and it was discovered that I am
estrogen dominant. Basically, I was high in estrogen, DHEA,
Cortisol, and VERY low in progesterone. My testosterone
was normal. My doctor put me on Armour Thyroid (which
I reluctantly started to take) as well as compounded
natural progesterone cream which I apply daily. My thyroid
levels were normal according to the test but she believed
I still needed it because of the symptoms I was having. My
doctor also started me on vitamins that had glandulars in them.
After a month or so, I was so puffy; I believe the glandulars
were blowing and making me retain water so me I stopped
taking them. That alone was making me crazy. This was and
is the first time in years I have allowed anything non-alternative
to enter my body as prescribed by a doctor. I was just having
terrible symptoms and needed some relief and hadn't been
able to find any prior. I am certain that my imbalance and
adrenal stress was and is due to stress, especially having to drive
in Los Angeles as well as diet.

I am in search of success stories and guidance. I am learning
a lot from this experience including the fact that you have to
be careful with certain herbs because even though they help
increase progesterone, that increase can also lead to an increase
in estroen which is the last thing I need. I was also told that
using the progesterone cream too often (not taking a break
in between) can cause the receptor site to shut down. I believe
there is another way to heal and would love some insight.

Right now, my breasts are tender and swollen; this is not
usual especially so far away from my period. Someone said
this sounds like adrenals but I don't know what that means.

Thanks for reading. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Butterfly.
