Re: reoccuring uterine pain with severe lower back pain and fatigue

Hi,

I am 28 yrs old and have recently been diagnosed with adenomyosis, which I think I have had for a long time (poss 10+ yrs) so it has taken a while to be diagnosed.
Initially I experienced the type of pain you are describing Kimmie but it subsided for a while and now it is back with a vengeance. I spent last night at my local a&e where I was diagnosed with severe muscle spasms in the left side of my lower back. I am convinced this is related to my adenomyosis, my period is due now today or tomorrow and my back always seems to flare up at this time but over the past few months it has been severe. I have been given diazepam to relax the muscles and also a very strong painkiller. As I type this I am counting down the last 30 mins of work until I can go home and go to bed, I am in absolute agony. The pain starts in my back and works down to my hip, even into my pelvic region and then down my thigh, knee, lower leg and even my foot.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I am currently awaiting an app. with my consultant to discuss the results of an MRI scan I had back in June.
Any thoughts/help greatfully appreciated.

Kind regards,
Natasha.
