Re: Is fasting bad for your heart?
Why would I take your remarks personally? After all, I'm not the one that invented the concept of water fasting.
This used to be a support forum for people doing a
Water Fast for weight loss reasons. Now it seems to have become a forum for those that think a
Water Fast is way too difficult. And your remarks just strenghten them in that idea. I have never had problems with my heart (or with anything else) while water fasting. This although I have an extra electrical pathway in my heart, which means that I have a greater chance to have rhythm problems than the average person.
In my opinion, nothing can beat the health benefits of a true water fast. With your remarks, you scarce a lot of people away from that. People who will now maybe try to that lose weight restricting, which is actually a great deal harder on the body than water fasting, certainly if you look at the consequences over a longer period.
All the information you give, comes from experts that advocate juice fasting and that are against water fasting. I don't call that objective. Let's just hope the people that are really interested in
Water Fasting have the sense to go over to the
Water Fast support forum, instead of listening to someone who uses the argument that drinking 4 gallons of water a day causes hyponatremia to say that a water fast is not safe!
