Re: Losing My Weight.

well i fasted a bit and i am terrified of my metab. shutting down and i have joint pain problems so i cant exercise alot to keep my metab going. so i plan on doing the atkins thing after my birthday tomorrow.

but did you read the book? because you shouldnt make it a fad diet where you only eat a certain way and then as soon as you lose the weight you return to Sugar and breads and things like that. because with any diet if you change the way you eat to lose weight and then return to your old bad eating habits that made you fat in the first place you are going to get fat.

right now i am reading the atkins book and it seems alot less limiting than i thought it would. i thought about going into the atkins forum on here but it seems to be full of jerks.

i think that fasting is a great way to kick off you atkins though. you could do a three day thing and use a senna tea to move all the old carbo junk out of your system. and then with the atkins thing if you cheat you will gain weight but just go back to the diet and be good and dont let it get out of control again. i always give myself a 10 pound range that i can add on without dieting super strictly.

i cant wait to start my atkins thing!
and i really do think a weekend fast would be a great way to kick it off.
but you shouldnt go longer than a couple days and then start eating meat right away.
because you have to break your fast with juice. then veggies and then onto your protiens last.
