For Healths Sake
Please take into consideration the potentailly serious risks you take to lose too much wt, too quickly .
Your body stores toxins in excess body fat, and often is reluctant to give up that fat too rapidly.
This is is a survival mechanism.
When you lose very rapidly, at first , it will be excess water, and elimination of waste in bowels, which you will often regain when you return to normal eating.
Next will be the areas that store the toxins that are stored for a reason.
When you lose too rapidly you release incredible large amts of toxins into your body, which the kidneys and liver cannot process all so quickly.
This overloads the body and you will most likely end up reabsorbing and recycling
these toxins , which can lead to some serious *healing crisis activity.*
Fasting is a great way to lose weight most certainly.
Please treat your body in a respectful way.
You did not gain weight in 20 days,
how can you ask your body to *give it up in 20 days?
Also as far as sizes and scales , what maybe a size 6 for a very small petite woman
may be exceedingly way too thin for a taller or larger boned or wide framed woman.
no matter how hard you try to get to size 6/ you might get there maybe with wide frame hips bones (as I have)
but you will look emanciapated everywhere else.
I am 46 turning 47 years old,
and used to be a a child size 12 as an athlete
that worked out a good 3 hours a day.
I looked super.. size 26 waist etc. (I am short and petite)
but I also had the muscle to back me up and good eating habits
and lots of hard exercise. so I was packed on pure muscle.
My tall, thin daughter at age nineteen cannot fit the pants I wore then.
I gained alot of wt after circumstances created a sitution that I was completely
sedentary for a great many years.
I have approached it as a gradual process,
and have lost about 57 lbs total now over one year time.
I am totally happy as a clam with way i look now.
I NEVER want to be the way I used to be again !
It was an unrealistic life style.
I looked far better and healthier when I was about size 8-11 and had body curves
and was toned thru good exercise such as dancing.
Currently I am about size 13 and I am very happy . I have curves,
I look better than most women my age,
and all I know as I exercise more that the toning will shape me even better.
so I expect to end up a good healthy size 12, for a short woman with good bust and big butt/hip size.
Don'T focus on a size or a wt.
you set unrealistic goals.
clothe sizes vary literally from store to store
and wt is ridiculous/ since you may be more muscular (which weighs more than fat)
and yet look 3 times leaner than a person that has no muscles and is pure fat at same wt as you.
Focus more on the Shape you desire.
utilise common sense.. exercise lightly or go for daily walks.
pay attention to what you are eating or NOT eating depending on what phase of a fast you are in.
I was very distressed to see soda given as a means to keep energy high,
and coffee. and brothes (if commercial have high
table salt content )
these are your choices,
but please know that this is a health website,
and these items are extremely toxic to your body.
A normal wt loss plan is 2 lbs a week for healthy wt loss that will STAY off.
Fasting will bring about a rapid loss more so yes,
but as I stated above in the first paragrph you can expect a large part of that to return when you break the fast and MORE if you return to eating habits that got you over wt to begin with.
Any fast shoudl be weaned from in a healthy way.
A general rule of thumb is the lenght of the fast/ = 1/3 to 1/4 same time breaking it gradually.
The longer the fast, the longer the weaning time.
Please treat your body with the respect and care you would give your own child.
The challenge is to lose wt gracefully and heathily, so you look as beautiful
on the outside as you are in the inside,
with a radiant renewal glow, not a weakened shell of physical body that is simply a reflection of wt and cloths size.
You will never be happy no matter the size achieved
if you don't look good after getting there.
Visualization aides are excellent mediums to use.
but remember you want to still look like YOU at the end ,
the uniqueness of wonderful YOU.
Hope that something in here might be of help to you ,
and I sincerely wish you all the best
in sharing and supporting each other.
Always research a bit any info received by others
to makee healthy choices.
remember we are all strangers sharing a common goal ,
This does not make any of us fasting *gurus* to blindly follow any advice.
It does not mean you have to play I'm right your wrong ..
what works for one person may not be a good help to another.
Thanks for allowing me your time
to expound upon some topic areas I felt were being overlooked.
