Re: Babies' Mental Delay Tied to Moms' Vegan Diet
that's great, mei! i applaud your choices, and think you are probably doing it more wisely than i am at this point. we're all just works in progress, trying to figure it all out. wouldn't it be great if there really was a simple way to eat healthy food, without harming the planet, or causing distress to animals? better yet, that there was no need for debate about this diet or that diet, and thus none of this yo-yoing back and forth, and really not knowing the truth. but that's life, and i guess it's part of our quest for our own truth. we should trust our instincts, and learn to become acquainted with our bodies more. we put faith in the health practitioners, none of whom should supplant ourselves as caretakers of our own health. so, if being vegan (or fruitarian) truly gives you a feeling of superior health and strength, go for it! if eating a massive gravy-soaked rare steak makes you feel super-human and omniscient, who am i to block your path? there are consequences for all of our choices at all levels of existence, so we mustn't malign the choices of others, simply make our decisions carefully, and be open to new ideas. thanks for your message mei, and continued good health!
