I don't take vitamins. I get my vitamins mostly from fruits and vegetables. I juice alot. I also eat lots of nuts and seeds, whole grain bread and fish. I make my own kefir (drinkable yogurt).Go easy on yourself. When I first got into this I ate a piece of meat if I really wanted one, then later, like once a month, and as time went on, I didn't really want meat anymore.
As far as reading labels...If you avoid all processed foods you won't have to read labels much. There's not much of a label on a bag of beans and no label on an orange! Any labels I do read is because I am interested in the nutritional content.
