About a year ago I found a lot of negative scientific info on soy (all foreign studies...german and scandinavian). I lived in Asia and found that aside from fermented soy that soy products were eaten rather sparingly (Lillian had a rather lengthy article on her forum coroborating my findings...that Asian women only consume about 2 tbsps of soy, in the form of fermented soy products per day).
I've also questioned the push for soy products in this country since I read Stolen Harvest by Vandana Shiva a couple of years ago. Evidently Monsanto is the largest producer of soy and has much to do with the push towards soy products...and we all know how Monsanto rests on the axis of evil! It is an enlightening book...and I will add that I love tofu but consume it in moderation. I'd be interested in any good articles or links you may have concerning the benefits of soy.
