Re: Good to hear from you!

I think I'm going to try what you're doing. It's a great way to reinforce the habit and really develop a healthy diet. It's particularly important to be careful when breaking (especially a long) fast and the idea of moving from a fast to a cleansing diet is a good transition.

I've missed eating and I've got a number of lunch dates that I've postponed. (Even last night I decided not to go out to a dinner for my nephew's birthday; it was at a great sounding Spanish/Portugese restaurant but I'm not ready for anything like that.)

I'm planning to go with primarily vegetables and fruits, and as much raw as possible, at least during the warm summer months, with lots of water. I'm not feeling lots of energy as I'd hoped. In fact, I'm still in 'recovery' mode and my body probably shouldn't be stressed too much. Though I don't plan to do any fasting until the fall, I still want to be really healthful between now and then. I might do a day or two of a fast but I'm thinking I'll do a 10 day one some time in the fall, maybe once every season. We'll see.

I'm going to do a liver cleanse in a couple of weeks, I think. I've done a few cleanses in the past and thought I'd cleared out most of the stones (the last few cleanses were pretty unproductive). I also am pretty sure that I don't have much in the way of plaque to worry about anymore. But we'll see how many stones I end up producing after a long juice fast.

I have never had the joy of finding big parasires or anything but I've probably cleared out a bunch of microscopic ones over the last couple of years.

I had abdominal surgery 27 years ago and have a scar down the middle of my stomach. Some of the pains I experienced over the last month or so were difficult to read. Were they my stomach? My spleen? My colon? Was the burning pain simply my body burning the fat that surrounds my abdominal organs? I'm not really sure. It's odd that my scar is pretty sensitive now, 27 years later. Last week, when I was having internal 'volcanic' rumblings in my abdomen, I found that I was able to make them happen by pressing the right spot on my scar.

Anyway, I weigh what I did when I was 18 years old and I'm swimming in all my clothes.

I don't mean swimming literally. It's just an expression. If I decided to go swimming, I'd wear a bathing suit. I mean that I'm so much slimmer than I've been in a long time.

Today:
Fresh papaya; (maybe a little oatmeal)
A salad, with lettuce, a plum tomato, dandelion and radicchio.
A smoothie, with either orange juice or strawberry-banana
Kale stir fry with leeks, rice and chick peas.
Maybe ginger glazed beets
