Re: whats the best strategy?

I agree with the two previous posts. I understand how overwhelming it can seem, but trust me, the more you learn (step by step, daily) the more you will know how to be a good steward of your body and the better your body will function. I would seriously consider reading Leo's "Last Acne Solution" (which, by the way, I found for free somewhere on the internet because someone had posted it...just search it on the engine). It's really comprehensive; it begins with hormonal balance (mostly EFA's, zinc, antioxidants, lecithin), goes on to colon cleansing (which you're already doing with the PB shakes), touches on diet and proper alkalinity (lots of raw, lots of greens, lots of supergreens), then goes to colon healing (for leaky gut, take aloe vera and L-Glutamine and probiotics), and finally ends with Liver Cleansing (the last thing to do).

A lot of info. Take it slow. Doing one thing at a time is better than feeling overwhelmed by everything and deciding to quit and go on Antibiotics or accutane. Just take it one step at a time and know that you're one step closer to health and good complexion.

Leo's program estimates a good half a year to a year, I'd say, for you to start healing the imbalance. There's no such thing as overnight transformation. Your body needs time to recover, your mind needs time to change, and your lifestyle needs time to adjust. You'll also realize that all the health advice you've been getting for acne...they don't contradict, they're all pieces of the puzzle. As you experiment, you'll start to see what order they come in, how they work together, and what the purpose of each "cleanse/protocol/supplement/diet" is. You've heard of many causes of Acne only because there really ARE many causes, and it takes a long time to fully address each cause. So work it slowly, and work it right. GOod luck.
