Re: Want to bash?
I think this book is awesome. I think the title is provocative and served it's purpose...to get one's attention.
Back when I was a "youngun" ...married at the ripe old age of 21, my sis in law used to get together daily and spend a good portion of our time together bashing our hubbys...who were brothers.
Now , they both have bashable traits and after all these years, mot a whole lot has changed...except that I divorced and sis in law kept hers.
Anyway...the point I wanted to make was that my marriage stood very little chance of succeeding. It's very difficult to think positively and act positively toward the person you just chewed up and spit out for a few hours over coffee. What I did was VERY disrespectful and destructive and has had lasting effects on my son who was pretty much left fatherless once the divorce went through.
Simply thinking positive isn't going to solve one's problems...but praying and acting positively in a less than perfect situation goes a whole lot further toward being constructive in any situation.
BTW, sis in law still disrespects hers and they've been misirable for all this time. Sad.
