Re: Married life has become borring.. Help!!

I know exactly what you're going through. Within less than a month of getting married, my husband started playing EverQuest religiously, 14 hours a day. This went on for a while. Eventually he had to go to bootcamp and he had to stop playing. He never started the game again, realized he was playing too much, and agreed to stop. He of course started playing another game some time after, by the same company, it's called Star Wars Galaxies, and it's just as addictive and time-consuming. He comes home from work, and that's pretty much it until he crashes into bed and plays the next day after work.
We have have some of our most violent fights during video games. I always have to ask a question at least 3 times and sometimes don't even get an answer. I know I am important, but I get ignored a lot, and he gets this look at supper, like he just wants to get bak to the game. Supper rarely lasts 5 minutes. Then back to the game. His friends also play. He has a friend that plays more than he does (!!!) and that friend told his wife that video games would always come first..she married him even after hearing that. I just want you to know that you are in good company. I joined Wives Against EverQuest a while ago..it's an actual group.
Hope things get better, but they rarely do. I just stop nagging him and be nice about it..eventually they feel some guilt if they are human...mine is borderline sociopathic and he still feels a little bad when he does not talk to me at all in a day, but he does not feel that bad about it. Good luck. I am here. Hope I can help.
