Re: Day 1 and i'm apprehensive
Heavy people have lost weight - and reformatted their eating habits in the process. Skinny people have not lost weight. Some people are hungrier in the middle than they were at the beginning. Some people get a white tongue and some don't. SOme feel awful and some are feeling great into days 8 and 9. It's a pretty individual unique thing - but everyone benefits in more ways than they anticipated at the outset.
I suppose the one thing is that there isn't a "right" or "wrong" effect or pattern. Just follow the diet as specifically or as close to it as you can (some people add a bit more syrup, I began with molasses and adding protein powder, but am now doing all syrup and spirulina protein instead)and stay tuned to yourself. STAY TUNED to what's going on with you - mentally and physically - and LET IT HAPPEN. Don't fight it. It might be easy and it might be rough.
Today I woke up and instead of thinking about eggs or a home-made breakfast burrito, I actually did the whole SWF first and then I COULDN'T WAIT to get to work and have a glass of LEMONADE! I made that stuff and drank it down like I'd been in a desert without water for 2 weeks. And this is cool - for a hypoglycemic who could barely go 1/2 hour on the first morning of the diet, I haven't had another glass for 2 hours - not hungry. So the hypog is being corrected.
