Ginger, Apple Cider, Epsom salt Bath
Dear Karen,
When you are on a cleansing diet you stir up a lot of toxins accumulated over time in your body, which can cause rapid "dumping". If the toxins are not eliminated quickly, this can cause, skin rashes, dry, wrinkly looking skin, blurry vision, headaches, nausea, stomach cramping, achy joints and loose stool.
To facilitate the removal of toxins there are a few things you can do. Drink plain, good quality water in addition to the "lemonade". This is very important. Plain water should always be in addition to the lemonade drink. Drink one
quart of water for every Lb. of body weight or portion there of. Do skin brushing until the skin is pink, and the blood circulation is going. Skin brushing also helps with lymph congestion, and then take a detox bath. To a tub of hot water add 2 TBS Powdered Ginger, 2 Cups of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 1/2-2 cups of Epsom Salt, or regular "Rock Salt" used for water softeners. Stay in the hot water for a minimum of 30 minutes adding hot water as needed. The A/C vinegar will relax sore muscles, and the salt and Ginger will draw toxins out of the tissues. If you are eliminating adequately, there is no need to take the salt water more than once a day. Light exercise is also important, such as walking or swimming, or using a trampoline.
To loose weight drinking the lemonade 6 x per day is adequate, but drink more if you are hungry. Stay on the diet until your tongue is clear and pink. I don't see any reason to discontinue the cleanse as long as you feel well, and see positive benefits. You may want to let your physician know what you are doing so s/he can monitor you. Make sure you follow instructions carefully coming off the cleanse.
