BTW, what I mean by western traditional Christianity is all Christianity practiced in the west. That includes Catholic, Protestant, all the break away sects, the Fundamentalists, Evangelicals, strictly bible based, etc.

All western Christianity came first from early orthodoxy, through the Roman church and it's approved cannon, and then the Protestant reformation that followed (even if much of the doctrine and dogma was changed)
