I have the gnostic bible and the Gospel of Thomas, but this the first I've heard of the Essenes. I believe that those writings expand our knowledge of christianity and it's original struggles. The book that is a praise of Jesus and His work on earth is gorgeous! (Gnostic text) So is the book of Mary Magdeline, so very moving.

So, what do you know about the essenes, the area they're from?
