Re: eyelid dermatitis

I have had the same problem as you for almost 5 years. When i wake in the morning my eyelids are swollen puffy and dry. I also developed inflamed pores below my eyes that is loose skin also. Also my hands have dermatitis. I attribute my problem to following the low carb diet to strictly for many years eating only red meat. I think that this toxicized my liver with too much saturated fat. Too much protein can cause inflammation especially red meat and eggs. Also i may have robbed my body of too many essential fatty acids, ie omega 3's. Also water weight loss could have attributed to my problem. Another possible cause could be allergens. But i believe in my case i can trace it to the low carb diet that i was on. You need to look at everything in your life before this happened. Stress is known to contribute to inflammation also. I am still trying to conquer my problem but i am sure that eventually i will. I would recommend omega 3 supplementation. Either high quality fish oil, udo's oil and probably gla supplementation. Diet is the key problem especially as we age. An anti inflammatory diet is probably a key. Go to Drweil.com, talk to knowledgeable people everywhere. Also wash your face and eyelids with a gentle cleanser such as Cetaphyl. Watch out for all these peddlers on here trying to hawk their products for sure. Keep researching and good luck
