In Galtians 2:11-21 Paul publicly rebukes Peter. Put yourself in Peter's shoes. Would you have felt embarassed? I know I would. Would that mean then that Paul was wrong? No, he had to correct the problem decisively and publicly or it would have grown. Didn't you see Toonces' post on the meaning of 'judge not'? You might want to check that link. I think that the verses I quoted before are in disagreement with your statment about not judging others.

If a person rebukes another publicly for the sole purpose of causing embarassment, of course that would be wrong, so it depends on motive. It's true that God will punish, but woe to me if I don't warn people who are in danger of that punishment! Warnings and rebukes about sin can hardly be considered malicious gossip.

When are the scriptures I quoted before to be used? Who is to do the rebuking? When exactly would you put these scriptural commands into practice? Never? Why not?
