Re: BED-Extremely Exhausted (Dawn's msg)
Hi Teresa,
Great to get your message,my diet at present is not too bad although I haven't started the BEDs diet yet...I want to get prepared first. I'v only just started the book and haven't yet got my head around the principles of it, and also want to have some interesting ways to prepare the allowed foods. just bought some millet and quinoa, I'm going to look out for some tasty recipes.
I'v mostly eliminated all sugars from my diet except just recently I had started to eat bannanas again....a definate no no for me.Have excluded all grains except basmati rice but I can see that that will have to go on BEDS !!!I do eat animal protein, organic chicken and salmon and also dairy butter and fetta cheese, I will really miss that. Dont think my digestion is strong enough to manage raw vegatables Teresa but lightly steamed wouldn't be a problem with cultured veges, I might give that a go, although 10 days might be a bit challenging, I might try it for 3!!
I have just put down my first batch of cultured vegetables...didn't have the ideal utensils, but I'v put them in a food grade plastic container and covered with a plate weighted down, then covered with plastic and a tea towel, I'v read so many variations hope this one is o.k. Our Summer is aproaching (Tasmania Australia) and the temp. is about 20.c.degrees (70.F)at present so it should be alright for the good bacteria to start working.
Keep up the good work Teresa I know what its like to feel so sick and become discouraged, you sound like your doing a great job....
Dawn.
