Re: Cooking is my life now!
Oh dear, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but chocolate, coffee and nut butters are not allowed on the diet. Sorry. Now don't go thinking you can substitute carob, cause that's a fruit and not allowed either.
I looked it up in my book and the reason nuts, nut butters and nut milk, including almond milk, are not allowed is because they're too acid and create mucuos. Still, I'm with you about the almonds. We are allowed to eat soaked, sprouted almonds and chewing them up seems to render them into a nut butter, right? My guess is it's okay if the almond butter is made from soaked almonds, like the Rejuvenative Foods brand I buy.
Check the diagram in your book, the one with the arrow, allowed foods are inside the arrow and foods we can't have are on the outside of the arrow.
Thanks for the recipes, hope to get around to actually cooking one of these days.
The liver won't function well if the colon is sluggish. Are you doing enemas or colonics? That might help. Donna recommends a liver cleanse only after 10
colonics to make sure when the liver dumps its toxic load it can exit the body fast and not get reabsorbed into the blood stream.
I had the Super Vitality drink this morning with a raw egg and flax seed oil and lots of fresh lemon. It's a chore to drink but makes me feel very nourished, so I keep at it. After that all I've done is drink water (almost 3 qts so far today) with lemon, lime or ACV and eat cultured veggies. I find adding some soaked and dehydrated pumpkin seeds to the CV's is tasty. My favorite is kim chi by Rejuvenative Foods. It's kinda hot and got a bit of a bite to it. I'm approaching my moon time so focusing on expansive foods as Donna recommends. Will be interesting to see if sugar/chocolate cravings seize me this time as usual.
