This begs the question: Why is it harder to leave someone that is treating you in hurtful ways than it is to abandon yourself by going back for more?
We all have the POTENTIAL to be kind, loving beings - but we don't all exercise that potential. Do you love the person as he IS - or do you love the illusion of how you think he COULD be? And is that really LOVE?
