I found naked pictures of his X

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for about 8 months. We live together and have a really great relationship other than a few little problems.

When I first moved it I found some partially nude suductive pictures of his ex-girlfriend. I remained calm, realizing that with his job and working manditory over time constantly he hadn't had time to clean the house in months.

I blew it off but I DID tell him what I had found and I suggested he clean out the closet himself lest I find anymore unpleasant surprises. I gave him several months to correct this issue but he never got around to it. I ended up getting upset with him and he seemed like he didn't understand why it was a big deal. At this point we had a little arguement and I THOUGHT he threw the pictures away. Monthes later I found them AGAIN in a shoe box in which he kept a stack of old pictures. Most of them were of him and other ex-girlfriends. I got REALLY mad and blew up on him. He told me he didn't understand why I was so mad when she doesn't mean anything to him. I said if she doesn't mean anything then WHY KEEP NAKED PICTURES OF HER LYING AROUND FOR ME TO FIND??? He finally threw them away but admitted that he didn't want to because it was part of his past.

Now every time I think about pictures with him I get sick about it. Is this just me being stupid or what is my problem. I try to understand his reasoning but I just can't and everytime I think about it I get really angry inside but I don't want to keep getting mad about at him for no reason so it stays inside and I would feel stupid talking about it now.

Can anyone advise me???
