Re: Why the change of heart? forks & knives as well?
I have no idea why she changed her mind, but I am sure glad. I have a fantastic stainless steel water distiller that I plan to get back out of storage soon.
I still use the plastic forks etc, ceramic knives. I think your wife would love real silver!!! Get a set just for her. She'll love you for it.
I also have a Fagor Classic Pressure Cooker which will last a lifetime. It has two safety valves. It is great for alot of things. Cooks beans and stews in no time. Vegetables in minutes with a little water in the bottom. Check Ebay for that.
But the Healthcraft is the ultimate for perfect rice ever time.
I really like it for perfect cauliflower, brocolli, and all vegetables.
I was interested in the French cookware at one time. I had found a discount house in Athens Texas. Shipping wasn't cheap.
But then I found an excellent 3 pot enamel set from Germany called Villerroy & Boch by Prinz. It is extremely light and cleans up perfectly every time. I found them at a store called Stein Mart or was it a Ross store. I got all 3 perfect sizes for around 80.00 bucks! I love them. I don't have to be a body builder to pull them off the shelf. For someone who might be week, I think they could easily drop a Le Crueset heavy hot pot on themselves when moving the pot from one location to another!
I still found that the best beans and legumes are made in a Corning Crockpot. (under $40.00)
I'm still looking for the perfect water filter...
