Again you're looking at things too broadly.
I'm not suggesting that it be taken up as a general "rule" for every "potentionally" dangerous forum to be heavily regulated. Everything has potential risks.
As I said in my other post, you can't mandate EVERYTHING by general rules and guidelines of practice. They may work fine for most things, but sometimes there are instances where exceptions must be made.
And conversly, just because an exception may be called for in a specific situation, DOESN'T mean that that exception should be applied to the rest of the site!
This has nothing to do with self-rightousness or self-gratification.
You say I should certainly speak up about a Russian Roulette forum. If I were to do so in that case, would it be out of self-gratification and self-rightousness... just "getting on my soap box" and preaching rights and wrongs? No, it would be out of a genuine concern for the health of those people who might actually be unwise enough to follow the advice found on that forum.
Not everything in life can be fit into some generalized "global rule".
