Could this be female/male attempting to merge. The female silvery spiritual compassionate spider of consciousness. Attempting to merge thru rational arguement in a positive sense as opposed to a negative arguement right peachy? with the male brown spider you said it was a him right? he apparently did not assert so much as to take over but relegated to a shared postion right? You said you felt not really antagonistic.
I have been having a lot of synchronicity myself about this male female thing and alchemy which I don't know much about right now just in the past 2 days. This sounds good. An integration or merger for you perhaps in the works.
