Whoa! Lots of very cool symbolism. I was thinking more on Granmother Spider and/or on the First Letters, but yours seems to fit the rest maybe just a bit better? I just remember feeling so very sad when the dream channel 'switched' and the pretty spider was gone... just such beautiful silvery 'hair' ...

If it helps any, the argument was on how to handle some 'humans', brownie wanted to be down and dirty and basically didn't believe they were true humans yet, I wanted to take a higher, more compassionate route (to *what* I'm not totally sure, the dream picked up well into the argument.) After challenging him to "first fang" he sensed I was serious and said he'd check further into it, no need to be getting all hasty (yes, "all hasty" - I do remember that line) just yet. So, in a nutshell, he "backed down." And then the channel 'switched' again.
