Re: Favorite, Most Effective Eye Supplements?
Like you I supplement vitamin A; was doing 22,500 IU in total, now use 15,000IU in total. I also use vitamin E 400IU sometimes 800IU. I've also added B-complex and extra B-2. I've used Lutein and Bilberry, but did not see any changes until I added A & E several months later. My vision has improved from 20/100 to 20/40 in my strongest eye per my last eye exam since I added the A & E. I believe it has improved more, but I haven't had another exam yet. My weakest eye has improved a lot, but it still holds my overall vision back from complete clarity at a distance. I can now read licence plates 2 cars up when sitting still, and one car up when in motion. At one point, I got a burst of vision and could read plates as much as 3 cars while driving, but that only last for a couple days. I don't know what caused it or ended it, but it gives me hope. I have read that low calcium can affect vision, as can magnesium. I believe my calcium is low due to extra absorption of magnesium during liver flushes, without having any calcium available to help balance it. But, I have an order coming in on Monday, so I will give it a try, and see if that is the missing link.
