hi zule, i too am looking for a rule/guide book on dating in n. america. here in the nw people's attitudes are even more rigid from what i've experienced.
it is confusing, especially since i see dating as meeting someone just to say hi and get to know them in person and have fun...and yet it ends up being akward and stressfull.
the expectations are too high for something that's suppose to be light and fun.
from responses to my other posts here, and observation, i think it's because the society we live in, which i'm learning about too, has different expectations. i was raised in europe where everyone kisses everyone on the cheek and that does not mean they wanna bed you, it's just a greeting. here in north america i have never really understood the concept of dating.
just trying to have/keep friends of the opposite sex has been tough enough. i wish i could help more.
