FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE STARTING !!!!!!!!!!(and you Tracey)
Hello everyone,
I just finished my 10 day fast and am sipping on orange juice. I thought I would tell you all briefly about my experience, since this site has really been a support to me (especially you Tracey!).
I had let myself fall apart the last few years, gaining alot of weight, eliminated exercising, and really poor diet (even though I am a vegetarian). I was depressed, felt funky all the time, and was using food as my reward system. So I decided to try and clean up, and what better start than a cleansing.
The first few days I felt terrible, like I had the flu. I followed the program to the T, salt water in the am (yuck), 6-8 lemonades a day, herbal laxative tea in the am, and 150-200
oz. of water a day (felt like all I was doing was drinking water). On the 4th day I went to 3 B&P's a day, and have done so since. I started feeling better day 4-6, although my joints, back, and muscles ached (lots of warm baths). By then I really did not have a terrible desire for food, but found to keep my blood
Sugar right, I would really concentrate on having a lemonade every 1-1/2 to 2 hours. I started passing ropes around my 7th day, unbelievablely wierd. I missed my 8th night tea, and I don't know if that was the cause or not, but I was constipated my 9th and 10th day, and I told myself if I still was this am I would salt water flush, but no problem, along came the rope e dopes!
I must tell you all, I feel really fabulous, clear headed, non bloated, lots of energy, lost 16 lbs., and my stomach is significantly flatter. If I was not going on a road trip this week, I would definately stay on it another 5, 10, or ? days. My goal is to get back to a good diet, as I have in the past, and I know what that is, it is just a discipline issue I need to focus on. I will stay on the B&P's for a while, 3 a day. My goal is to go back on the fast as soon as is proper (Tracey, help, when?)for the maximum safe time, possibly do the
parasite cleaning (Tracey, help, how?), and get back to a good exercise regiment.
So for all of you that are struggling, and maybe thinking about quitting, DONT!!!! You will find the rewards are awesome, and you can do it.........one day at a time.....it gets better...and better!
Good luck to all, and thanks to those that supported and helped me (especially you Tracey, Miss Guru!)
