There is some wisdom in this statement and neither do I advocate extreme measures of either/or. Many people find successful outcomes through combining the two. Nor did I intend to come off as condemning the allopathic route: I am simply stating what may occur with its practices.

I am not saying that all alternative approaches are better than allopathic. Of course there is fallacy in the alternative realm. Critical evaluation, learning and intuition are needed when approaching both.

"My point with the viruses is that a healthy body, mind, and spirit is not enough to prevent some diseases from developing."

Really? This resounds with contradiction to me. Why would a Healthy Body Mind & Spirit not 'be enough'?

Once again, we may part ways on views here....If a body becomes susceptible to disease then it is not really healthy at all levels. 'Prevention' is not what is needed then, Treatment is needed.

Our discussion centers around perspective. "Some viruses and bacteria are very dangerous and very contagious..." If you believe this to be true, then it is true for you.

"...sometimes the human body needs some help." And from here more discussion may ensue in regards to what help is needed and appropriate for an individual. The beauty of it is it all depends on the person's perspective and individual situation.
