Lapis, your posts often speak of ideas of peace and compassion and understanding...I commend you for that and in fact, could not agree more regarding such philosophy, spirituality, principles, etc....with that said, there are times in this life when people need a good old fashioned whack in the head to snap out of "it".

I am not a wear it on your sleeve fundamental Christian but I do recall a good story about a man named Jesus who went into the temple screaming and yelling and flipping tables purposely....sometimes compassion and love and understanding requires us to be forceful, to be direct, to be tought, because people in this world get crazy/weird at times in their own special way :)

Its a much greater concern to me if the person has any kind of leadership position which influences others...people are so easily influenced by skilled manipulators and if you know what to look for, all the ingredients and tools of such manipulations are easy to identify, no different than a recipe list, a brew that gets concocted to do its job of influencing.....at the core of the problem is people's deeply held values and beliefs...they are ssoooo influenced by them to the point where they actually deeply feel and think their values and beliefs are truths and principles, which they are not....Dr. H's linguistic style reminds me of the classic, extremely talented TBN type preachers...and that's no compliment....

I am NOT attacking religion, Christianity, Jesus, the Trinity, or any spirituality. God, our spiritual foundation, IS the very core of our existence as far as I an concerned. I am however attacking and uncovering psychological and emotional persuasion and manipulation....as I said to my stepdaughter many years ago....Don't be a sheep, Wake Up!....All the best, M Tweet
