I was inspired to do a ginger bath too

Having read all the recent posts, I decided to take a ginger bath and sweat it out under the covers for a while after getting out of the bath.

I took a couple of tablespoons of fresh ginger that I cut in slices, put it in boiling water to make a tea. I let it boil for about 10 minutes. I let the ginger continue to steep for about 15 more minutes. I mixed two cups of Epsom Salts and one cup of baking soda, mixed it with the ginger tea water, and added two tablespoons of ginger powder. I drew the bath and poured the mixture in the water and got in for 15-20 minutes.

Immediately upon getting out, I wrapped myself in my terrycloth robe and got under the covers in bed where I sweated for about an hour. Definately not as intense as southern belle's experience...my face didn't turn red and I didn't sweat that much around my face, but I did all over my body from the neck down. I still feel a bit warm and woozy 2 hours later.

I feel very light-headed and peaceful. I feel like I could go to sleep for about 3 hours as well.

I did dry brush myself before the bath with a loofah.
