Mysterious critter!

Ok, at risk of grossing some readers out...i need to know what the heck this thing is. It was about an 2 inches long,.5 inches wide and about 5mm thick. The shape was an oblong with a bit more width at one end. Besides the overall oblong shape there was a 'tail' on the end which was a bit wider, like a very small fish tail. It was yellowish brown in color and the texture looked kind of like soft leather? and wrinkly. I'm thinking there's no way i ate anything that large and looking like that so it had to be a parasite, but what kind? Does anyone have any ideas? There were smaller things with this kind of look to them but i didn't take the time to sift and went for the largest one. Besides this 'thing' i'm also finding LOTS of things that i'm assuming are worms, mostly flat and like long grass fiber, a few are VERY long.
