Re: without 9/11, bush's approval rating would be 20%
People can be religious if they want, I don't understand it, but they certainly have the right and I will defend their rights, I just don't understand why they don't show some class and defend mine.
But Swedefox asked a very good question that I was trying to address. What would it take for Americans to wake up? How much more damage can one man do to the world before people pay attention? I was actually giving George credit that he knows how to manipulate, lie and cheat, fudge the system and make idiots out of the voters, all to his advantage.
A news reporter said it best the other day. George Sr. loved public service and serving his country, but hated politics. George Jr. loves the politics. Like George laughingly said right after being elected. " I won the presidency despite a booming economy and peace" (not his exact words, and he did not know the reporter was listening)
Look at his record. he took a huge surplus, and in three years is going to have a bigger deficit than all other years combined. Despite trying to fudge the unemployment numbers by having a war and stealing from the unemployment fund, the unemployed are increasing. Corporate corruption has his friends and Vice Presidents finger prints all over it. We have been in two wars,(and if George is re-elected, we ain't done) and both are proving to be a big farce while he is trying to hide evidence of his reasons for doing it. North Korea sees through him as a mad man world dictator, and therefore they are going to load up on nukes to stop him from attacking them. World opinion of America is at it's lowest, the patriotic act is nothing more than freedom snatching.
Do you find it a coincidence that the Republicans are going to have their convention around 9/11? I find this tasteless, but George bush is the biggest benificiary of 9/11. without it, he would be competing with Nixon as having the lowest approval rating.
