Phosphorus didn't help me with UC (but may help you so). My current homeopath doc says he never prescribes one substance alone (as he saw the list of the single-substance homeopath medicines I used in the near past, such as Sulphur, Thuja, Collinsonia, Mercurius, Sorinum and many other).
