I took a guy fishin once who read every book and magazine on the subject, had the best and newest equipment the best rods and reels money could buy a depth finder trolling motor had his solunar charts and contour maps! He even dressed the part with an expensive fishin vest,three tackle boxes 10 dollar fishing lures!
I had one pole and a couple dozen nightcrawlers! Needless to say he fiddles and mumbled and worked with his gear and by the time he got set up I had three keepers on my stringer ! I had a good day and went back the next for more! He caught nothing and spent the next at the tackle shops complaining about his gear and buying more! He still considers himself a better fisherman and thinks I just got lucky!
Whats the comparison you ask! Well you are the fishermen who is well read and the expensive gear, that couldnt catch a minnow with a trolling net and those who have had successful flushes are the guy with the stringer full of fish!
