Re: Nicotine can cure ulcerative colitis

(I have posted this message on page 3 as well) Hi there, I have smoked for 25 years and stopped about 11 weeks ago. Approx. 8 weeks ago there was a change in bowel movements and approx 4 weeks ago I noticed blood and mucus in my stools. I went to the doctors and had a test done on stools and it confirmed it was blood. I have been refered to the hospital to have some laxatives and they are going to ex-ray my insides. don't know much else! I have been extreemly worried and started doing some research on the above problem and came across ulserative colitis.
I thought it was to much of a coincidence that I happen to stop smoking and get ill! so I started smoking again and the symptoms seem to be clearing up! 90% better, this is only after a couple of days smoking. Is this a coincidence or what? although I have not been diagnosed with anything yet..........I am leaning towards colitis.

I will keep you posted.......

Steve
