Green tea has useful antioxidants and is said to aid in fat
digestion and is astringent
Ginger is good for nausea and to improve weak digestion but used
to excess especially dried ginger could aggravate colitis
Nutmeg is a very useful astringent and improves absorbtion in the small intestine plus is useful for insomnia but as it is
toxic in large amounts and could cause drowsiness or even hallucinations it should be limited to around 3 teaspoons a day
of fresh grated nutmeg I would say that 3 tablespoons is overdoing it and may produce side effects in some people
I have gathered this information from various herb books
