Tea in general is a treatment to help stop diarrhea. Although chamomile and peppermint are better choices. Green tea has caffeine, a stimulant, which is not suggested for people with UC. Ginger is often used to treat nausea, and does have anti-inflammatory properties, so that is a good spice to take. Nutmeg oil is often used to treat general aches and pains. But nutmeg the spice is used simply to add a delicious flavoring, it has no real therapeutic affect.
